Business Strategy Session

I've just had my first session with Heather, and honestly, I didn't know what to expect—but it wasn't this. I'd been thinking about starting therapy for a while, but it was really important to me that I chose someone I could trust. So when I found out Heather offered sessions, I decided to take the leap. Everything was explained clearly beforehand, and I actually felt excited to begin. But a few days before, the nerves kicked in. It felt like my "traitor's cloak" was getting heavier and darker. Wow... this is just so powerful. How many times do/have we sat and compared ourselves to others. They are doing this, that and the other — how can we aspire to be just like them? And the truth is being authentically us is the best superpower to possess. There is only one me, Raj may say "praise the Lord!!" about that, there is only one YOU. I am an advocate for NLP, it has been so beneficial for me since I began my healing journey. When I started my Unapologetically Visible Journey with Heather I was scared of the online world. I thought perfection was the ultimate aim, and I didn't feel I could ever be perfect, so there was no point in trying. I remember thinking I wasn't good enough. In an early session Heather ask, "What's the worst thing that could happen?" I thought "I could go viral." I was petrified about being seen, because visibility could bring pain, criticism, and distress. Going viral would be a virtual nightmare. Now I feel buoyant, excited, and inspired by the online world and its possibilities. I am unapologetically visible and I have no need to be perfect. I'm comfortable with showing up as me, warts and all. I know my shit and I live in the real world. I'm perfectly imperfect and that's ok. I'm proud of this shift in me.
